Salty Towers (and its predecessor The Seaside Inn) has been welcoming guests for over 100 years... and even years before that, welcoming veterans from WW1 into the Back-Five. Our rooms all have their own unique and enchanting character - no two are alike.

View our rooms and other bits of Salty here.

We are 4 blocks from the centre of town, the wharf, shops and restaurants. We see the harbour from the front porch and the comings and goings of a myriad of strolling locals and visitors. The town itself is 13 blocks long by 6 blocks wide, give or take. Walking and bicycle are the preferred means of getting around.

St. Andrews is a remarkable place with scores of things to see and do without having to get into a car. Everything from live music (sometimes at Salty Towers), kayaking, art shows, galleries, cool architecture and great food, opera and theatre (both seasonal), to viewing sea life, hiking, sailing and chatting with interesting locals at the pub or on a front street bench, it's all within a few blocks of the front door. However, if you must, the incredible scenery and experience of Deer and Campobello Islands and Grand Manan are only shorts drives and a ferry trip away and the neighbouring communities of St George and St Stephen both have great things to see and do. Right near Salty a number of hiking trails offer great views and a breath of salty air.

Here at the house, guests have access to a couple of common areas,  great porches (both open and enclosed) and the expansive yard. WiFi is available throughout the inn. We have limited parking on site.

For the time being we are not set up to offer home-cooked food but eventually we are planning to schedule "Family Dinner" Nights!

Although there is no public transit from out of town, here are a couple of local companies that will pick folks up from the airport or bus station in Saint John, Fredericton or Bangor, Maine.

House Rules

Salty Towers is actually our home. St. Andrews is our neighbourhood and we live here year-round. Thousands of folks world-wide take refuge and find solace here. Please act accordingly. The house is non-smoking/vaping and, for the sake of the other guests, no pets.
